The Africa Files: A Flamingo Look At Africa On The Move

            • The Africa Files Trailer from Flamingo on Vimeo.

Africa is on the move. It is experiencing rapid urbanisation with 400 million Africans living in cities, a figure set to double by 2040 according to the United Nations. Alongside the unprecedented expansion of Africa’s economy, we’re witnessing the growth of an emerging middle class, with heightened spending power, digital connectivity and an appetite for consumer goods and services.

Africa is on an exciting cultural trajectory, leaving some of it’s doubters in the dust. However, whilst this creates huge possibilities, Africa remains complex and impenetrable to many. Flamingo have been on the ground in various African countries and we’ve been helping clients make sense of and identify real opportunities.

The Africa Files showcases some of the interesting stories emerging from our work in Africa – some of them about the momentum sweeping through the continent, about the cultural production, and about the process of change and the deep cultural driver behind this.
