Flamingo to speak at Market Research Society's Annual Impact Conference 2016
We’re absolutely delighted to be speaking at Impact 2016, the Market Research Society's (MRS) annual conference, from 15-16 March 2016. The theme of the conference is 'Curiosity, Insight and Revolution’. Bill Bryson, the author of A Short History of Nearly Everything, will deliver the keynote address.
According to the organisers, 'As the Market Research Society celebrates its 70th year, Impact 2016 showcases the research sector's burning curiosity, its talent to mine dazzling insight and its ability to ignite revolution in business and society. It's the leading conference for anyone who wants to tap into big ideas, practical guidance and inspiring strategy.'
Flamingo will participate alongside fantastic speakers in three separate sessions.
Flamingo Group Board Director James Parsons takes part in this session, which the organisers describe as follows: “Research is helping to cut through the hysteria surrounding migration. With insights from a major longitudinal study of UK immigration, and analysis of social media from around the world, this session will bring real voices and robust data to an issue where both are often lacking.”
‘The story of us: personal tales of change’ at 10.45am
Director of Flamingo Social Purpose Rosa Bransky takes part in a discussion of how research impacts the researchers themselves. “We work in a sector that prides itself on effecting change. But while we're busy helping organisations improve themselves, what's happening to us – the agents of change? This session will tell some of the stories of us as researchers – the opportunities, projects and ideas that have led us to rethink and repurpose our own lives.”
'Insight: a force for good (2)' at 11.55am
Jackie Hughes, Flamingo Group Strategy Director, and Catriona Ferris, Global CMI Director, Unilever, team up.
“In the second of a two-part session, we feature stories of insight projects that help to encourage physical activity among those with cancer, tackle discrimination among young women in Nigeria, and increase access to education in India, Brazil and Vietnam.”
