Flamingo Shanghai to screen ‘Man on Wire’ on August 4

            • On August 7, 1974, a young Frenchman named Philippe Petit stepped out on a wire illegally rigged between the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers.

Fast forward 42 years to this week and Shanghai skyscraper the Jinmao Tower has just opened its vertigo-inducing outdoor viewing platform to the public.

Just three days before the anniversary of ’the artistic crime’ of the last century, we invite you to watch ‘Man on Wire’, to imagine what it feels like to walk on clouds, and to have the passion to chase your dreams into the stratosphere.

The screening will start at 7.30pm on Thursday, August 4 (doors open at 7pm). The venue is the Flamingo Shanghai offices, 7F, Building 11, 207 Mengzi Road (between Xietu Road and Liyuan Road). The nearest metro station is Madang Road on Line Nine.

RSVP to bonnie.wang@flamingogroup.com to secure a seat, and bring your name card, follow us on WeChat, or like us on Facebook in exchange for free beer.
